Protein Overnight Oats With Fresh Raspberries, Banana & Shredded Coconut

Ingredients

  • 30 g white oats
  • 5 fresh raspberries
  • ½ sliced banana
  • 1 scoop (31 g) Muscle Bolt 100% Whey Protein Isolate in Vanilla flavor
  • 3/4 cup skimmed milk or any milk of choice
  • Optional Toppings
  • 3 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix oats, milk & Muscle Bolt 100% Whey Protein Isolate powder thoroughly.
  • Set the jar with a thick layer of the the oats mix.
  • Top with sliced banana.
  • Put another layer of the oats mix.
  • Top with raspberries & coconut.
  • Place in fridge overnight.

Directions

Overnight oats contain more resistant starch than cooked oats.

Resistant starch is a type of fibre that is resistant to digestion. It can’t be digested by the small intestine and is fermented in
the large intestine. As the starch ferments, it becomes a pre-biotic and it feeds the good bacteria in our gut.

This promotes gut health by improving the balance of good & bad bacteria.

Note: This recipe results in thick overnight oats. If you prefer it to have more of a creamy consistency, increase the milk quantity to 1 cup.
